Our Mission
The mission of Nurturing Developmental & Learning Academy is to provide exceptional care for children in a clean, safe learning environment. We place the need of each individual child at the forefront of our program. Efforts are focused on each child’s personality as well as fostering their overall development. Our goal is to promote the physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child. We recognize and foster an active partnership between home and school; including partnerships formed with the community.
Our Philosophy
At Nurturing Developmental & Learning Academy we welcome each child’s unique experience, developmental readiness, cultural heritage and personality. We appreciate and acknowledge each child’s gifts, challenges and successes. Partnership between family and school is therefore essential to the optimal growth, and development of your children. Primarily, our aim is to provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that accommodates and embraces differences. Families will feel supported and nurtured in their child rearing efforts. Children will gain competence in their home language as well as in a second language. Community perspectives are also considered to provide children with opportunities for language acquisition.
We believe in the integration of learning and play, as children learn best by doing. We strive for a balance between teacher-directed and child-initiated activities, providing the foundation of a developmentally appropriate early childhood program. Given opportunities to explore the world around them, young children become active and involved learners. School becomes a place where they can be successful, and children discover that learning is fun.
We believe, with this foundation, children become curious, well rounded learners, obtain the ability to make independent choices, and act responsibly.
